Artist spotlight for the month of August goes to the impeccable Emmanuel Jal. 

Recently, I had the opportunity to hear a speech by Jal, a man who grew up as a child soldier in Sudan. The story of his triumphs over extreme adversity is best described as courageous, powerful, and insightful.

Crazy, Sexy, and Cool is the best way to describe the highly anticipated TLC movie. The movie will premiere this fall on VH1 and fans are excited about the new biopic movie. 

The movie follows the life of the famous powerhouse girl group TLC. TLC is known for their powerful anthems such as "No Scrubs, Waterfalls, and Creep" just to name a few. They were the first female group ever to reach diamond status with their 2nd Album "CrazySexyCool." The phenomenal group sold over 23 million copies worldwide and catapulted too star status. 

The biopic follows Rozanda Thomas (Chilli), Tionne Watkins (T-Boz), and Lisa Lopes (Left Eye) on their journey to stardom. They will be portrayed and played by actresses KeKe Palmer, Drew Sidora, and Lil Mama. The actresses were specifically chosen and they have an erie resemblance to the pop group.
