Artist Spotlight, Dustin Tavella

"Artist Spotlight" artist Dustin Tavella is an up and coming artist with a big heart and an amazing voice.  Music wasn't the first choice of this Philly born native. For the past 5 years he has worked full time for a humanitarian organization. He has also traveled the world feeding the homeless, helping drug addicts, aiding prostitutes in getting off the street and mentoring youth.

While traveling he realized his ability to affect people's lives and bring encouragement to those through songs. That is when he decided to turn music from just a simple side project into a full time project. He started making videos for his songs and putting them up for the world to see on Youtube.

Along the way Dustin met a young fan named Ella Grace. Ella was a young girl that had cancer. They became friends and she was even in one of his videos. He didn't just see a young girl dying of cancer, rather he saw just one of the very few people that were actually living. According to Dustin, to Ella "living" wasn't defined by breathing and having a heartbeat but rather but what she did with her life.

Sadly, in February of 2013 Ella Grace lost her battle with cancer at the age of 4. He then created a vision, to do all we can to love others and to always LIVElikeELLA. On his website you can purchase T-shirts that say "LiveLikeELLA". All of the money from the T-shirts go to Jen Kresge who raised Ella along with 2 boys.

 Not only is he recognizable from Youtube, Tavella was also on the 3rd season of CMT's Sweet Home Alabama (kind of like the bachelorette only were guys from the city and country compete for the love of the girl). He is currently living in LA working on his first album. With all of the passion he puts into his music how could anyone not love Dustin. Check out some of his songs below:
