ABG Season 2

Pure comic genius is the best way to describe the highly talked about Youtube WebTV Series, "Awkward Black Girl." The WebTV series was released for the masses in 2011.

The ABG Series follows a character by the name of "J" who narrates her life and explains the awkwardness of the common workplace and social scene. The amazing web series portrays African Americans in a positive and comical role.
It opens doors to a new African American character who is defined as corky, nerdy, and comically unique.

The ABG Series was created by Stanford University and New York Film Academy alum, Issa Rae. Rae created the series after realizing the lack of roles for African Americans in the media. After years of honing her films skills, Rae embarked on a journey and released the ABG series on Youtube.

After garnishing tons of success from viewers across the nation, a new successful urban WebTV series was born. The series was so impactful that viewers donated more than fifty-thousand dollars on KickStarter.com to help fund the WebSeries.

Eventually her work would catch the eye of super music producer Pharrell Williams, who added the second season to his Google channel "I am Other" in 2012.

In as short as two years Issa Rae has become a well known name in the Urban Film circuit. She has just began her amazing career and is already leaving a tremendous mark on the urban media scene.

Currently, Issa is working on a new project called "The Choir" that will be released later on this year. She also is in the works of a new book of essays which will be released sometime in 2014.
