Miami Heating Up the Court
After the devastating blowout of 113 to 77 by the Spurs in Game 3, the Heat needed to regroup and come up with a new game plan. In fact, the Heats returned too Game 4 with a new offensive strategy.
Game 4 started off with San Antonio players Danny Green, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan contributing to a great offensive run early in the first five minutes of the game.
Unfortunately, their great efforts would have to face the wrath of Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade. Almost instinctively, the Heats came alive. By the end of the first quarter, Wade was in the double digits with 10 and Miami was up 29-26.
By the start of the 2nd quarter Miami continued playing hard. Wade would continue dominating and Lebron seemed to be unshakable in the paint hitting majority of his points off of easy buckets under the rim. The Heats were playing a very tight offensive game.
However, the Spurs weren't backing down without a fight. Boris Diaw and Tony Parker would both hit some impressive shots to get the Spurs back into the game. By the end of the second quarter, the Spurs would tie the game up at 49.
The 3rd quarter would go back in fourth. That was until, Miami Heat Mario Chalmers started to get into his rhythm. Chalmers put up some impressive 3-point shots that would give Miami the extra jolt they needed. By the end of the third quarter, Miami was up 81-76.
The fourth quarter would bring all the big guns out. Wade and James took over the offensive front. Both players attacked the rim giving Miami the upper hand in the last quarter. However, Duncan and Ginobli would step up and get the Spurs close. However with less than a minute left, Lebron would make a bold statement hitting two jumpers and the 3- pointer to solidify the win.
The final score was 109-93 (Heats). The Series is now tied at two wins for both teams going into Game 5 (2-2).
The next game will be played on Sunday, the 16th at 8pm. Stay tuned for more updates on the NBA finals.
Great Game for the Heats!!
