R&B Divas LA
If you are looking for a reality show with some of the world's favorite 90s R&B songstresses, than R&B Divas LA is for you. The new reality show is a spin-off to the R&B Divas Atlanta show that first appeared on TVOne on August 20, 2012.
The Atlanta series produced an alarming national response for TVOne's network, with almost 900,000 viewers tuning in to the pilot episode.
The R&B Divas Atlanta cast was full of popular mainstream artist in the genre of R&B. Such divas as Faith Evans, the first lady of Bad Boy and wife of the late Biggie Smalls. Other cast members were Nicci Gilbert of 90s powerhouse group, Brownstone. KeKe Wyatt, famous for her magical duets with R&B singer Avant, the soulful singer Syleena Johnson, and Heavy D's first lady Monifah Carter.
The show allowed an inside look into the lives of these R&B singers and how they balance their music and personal lives. With the outstanding results of the first season and second season of R&B Divas Atlanta, TVOne would have been crazy to not bring another season or new cast to national viewers.
However, are fans ready for the new Divas? In my opinion, the new cast couldn't have been selected any better.
Famous faces such as Kelly Price, close friend to Whitney Houston and powerhouse vocalist will be reappearing on the scene. Other cast members, such as controversial singer Claudette Ortiz, who is famous for her role in the group City High is coming on the scene as a new cast member. Her controversial love triangle relationship with both male members of the group, ended the powerful trios chance at becoming heavy weights in the industry. Last but surely not least, singers Chante Moore, Dawn Robinson, Michel'le, and Lil Mo are also signed on as new cast members.
The show will bring some much needed soul to today's contemporary R&B genre and provides viewers with a positive new view on Reality TV. The new season will begin on July 10, 2013 at 10pm on TVOne.
